Process Communication Model Core Topics Seminar

PCM is an applied, practical methodology for appreciating the impact of personality differences for effective and productive communication. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Learn the unique perceptual frames of reference, character strengths, communication channels, leadership styles, environmental preferences, motivational needs, and detailed distress patterns of six different personality types. Learn the underlying causes and dynamics of life scripts and distress behavior. 

- Gain awareness into your own personality structure and how that impacts your approach to work, leadership, and relationships.
- Practice skills to connect, motivate, and resolve conflict with different personality types.
- Gain skills to identify personality type preferences “on the fly” by decoding words, tones, postures, gestures, and facial expressions.
- Gain deeper understanding of the psychological determinants of behavior and practice your communication skills for effective interactions.
- Describe the four Myths that lead to distress and identify how they manifest and are reinforced in distress.
- Identify life failure patterns by analyzing language.

Third Thursday & Nugent Exhibit Reception

A reception for "Nugents to the 4th Power: Wendy, Rodger, Andy, and Robert Nugent" will be held from 6-8 p.m. June 18 as part of the Third Thursday series, which resumes at the Carriage Factory Art Gallery.

The event is free, and the gallery will be following safe distancing guidelines, encouraging masks and allowing only 20 people in the gallery at a time. The exhibit will also be on view through July 18 during regular gallery hours.

The 10th annual Cookie Daze 5K will be a virtual event on June 20. Participants can take pictures, eat cookies and complete their runs anytime during the day. Special contests and prizes will also be part of the event. Registration for the 5K for those 13 and older is $20 through the day of the event. Participants 12 and younger pay $15. Registration includes a T-shirt. Online registration is available at www.cookiedaze.org.
