Prairie View, a leading mental health provider in the tri-county area is making a significant shift in its service offerings to meet the community's evolving needs more appropriately. After 70 years of dedicated service, Prairie View Hospital will transition into the area's premier Behavioral Urgent Care Center (BUC), with an opening date of April 1, 2024. The BUC will offer crisis intervention and emergency assessments to those 18 years of age and older experiencing a mental health crisis.  

Join us on April 1st for a Chamber Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Behavioral Urgent Care Center. The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 1:00 PM at 1901 E 1st St in Newton. This event is open to the public and will be followed by an Open House until 2:30 PM. We hope to see you there!
