We are seeking a skilled and experienced Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating SAW equipment to weld metal components according to blueprints, layouts, and work orders. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
What you would be working on:
- Set up and operate SAW equipment to weld metal components.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
- Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and positioning of parts.
- Monitor the welding process to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of the material.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Perform routine maintenance on SAW equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production targets are met.
- Document work completed and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
